March 22, 2022

Xator Corporation (Xator) announced today that it will provide advanced tools for the collection, cleansing, management, and analysis of data to enable artificial intelligence supported decision making in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC). “The primary obstacle to the effective application of artificial intelligence to problems in national security, is having enough of the right data that is clean and unbiased,” said David Boyd, Vice President and Chief Engineer of Xator’s Technology Solutions Division.

Xator has been working with national and international standards organizations since 2015 to define the processes and standards for properly leveraging data in support of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) applications. Under this Basic Ordering Agreement, Xator will be able to apply its knowledge in a number of diverse domains to include open-source intelligence, identity solutions, infrastructure protection, and physical security to develop tools and technologies for the collection, management, and analysis of data using AI and ML.

David Boyd continued, “Xator understands the need for AI and ML applications to be unbiased, trusted, and understandable. The first step in achieving those goals is to verify those same attributes in the data supporting the application.”
