Xator was honored to donate a two-day adventure package for auction at the annual Team Rubicon Salute to Service Gala on November 11, 2021. Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization, held its annual gala on Veterans Day this year to honor the service of the men and women both at home and abroad. Xator’s contribution was the highest earning item at the auction this year.
The package, which will take place at Xator’s Summit Point Training Facility, includes an introduction to advanced vehicle control techniques, high speed technical driving and evasive driving maneuvers, and other skills in the two-day event to allow the recipient to experience what it means to “train like an operator.”
“Team Rubicon’s mission to support veterans is highly regarded by Xator. We employ a large number of veterans and appreciate Team Rubicon’s efforts to join veterans with first responders and civilian volunteers to aid those in need.” says David Scott, Xator’s Chief Executive Officer.
Team Rubicon serves communities by mobilizing veterans to continue their service by leveraging their skills and experience to help people prepare, respond, and recover from disasters and humanitarian crises. Founded following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, the organization has grown to almost 150,000 volunteers across the United States and has launched nearly 1,000 operations both domestically and internationally. Amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, Team Rubicon has not only pivoted to be able to continue to deliver disaster response and rebuild services in core mission areas but has also expanded their scope of missions to meet community needs brought about by COVID.
