Near Real Time Identity Operations Moved to the Cloud

Oct. 21, 2021

InCadence Strategic Solutions, an Xator company, is excited to support PM DoD Biometrics with the migration, refactoring, and modernization of the Near Real Time Identity Operations (NRTIO) system to AWS GovCloud. Over five million identities were migrated to the cloud with no loss of operational availability, while meeting IL4 and RMF security requirements. Migrating this capability to the cloud will drive significant life-cycle cost savings with the ability to decommission legacy hardware and end hosting costs.

“This is one of the most significant events in operational identity intelligence since the original fielding of the Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) in 2002,” stated Anthony Iasso, Xator’s Chief Technology Officer. He continued, “The migration of the legacy NRTIO servers to the cloud, without any disruption to operations, shows the viability of leveraging cloud technologies to provide scalable, elastic, and reliable support directly to operational forces for identity intelligence.”

Tom Heasley, Xator’s Senior Vice President for the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIPS) business unit added, “Our talented technical team and partners have accomplished a significant milestone with this migration, meeting many PM Biometrics and DoD CIO modernization goals. The stage is set for moving future DoD biometrics into the cloud.”
