Anthony Iasso was awarded the Chief Technology Officer of the Year by WashingtonExec at the presentation banquet held on May 11, 2022. “We are thrilled to congratulate Anthony on his well-deserved award as Chief Technology Officer of the Year. Anthony is an inspiring leader who possesses a unique combination of technical expertise and ability to mentor our teams as we bring together technology, knowledge, and speed to meet the world’s threats. Xator is fortunate to have Anthony championing our technical innovation efforts enabling our customers to be ahead of what’s next,” said David Scott, Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Iasso is a recognized leader in the security technology and identity intelligence market. He is a thought leader in the development of cutting-edge force protection technologies that provide safety and security for American military, contractor, and civilian personnel in more than 200 countries around the world.
Over the past year, Anthony was the visionary for Xator’s Security Technology Center of Excellence (STCE) in Summit Point, West Virginia, a campus that brings together and integrates life-saving technologies in the areas of Biometrics, Countering Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), Intrusion Detection, and Cybersecurity.
As part of the Xator Training Facility and Summit Point Complex, the STCE provides a full-scale base/post to integrate and test security technologies used to protect military installations, embassies, data centers, and other secure facilities. Anthony established a Technical Integration Center (TIC) to demonstrate these technologies for clients and rapidly deploy mission critical capabilities. The establishment of the Center directly contributed to the U.S. response to protecting personnel, assets, and infrastructure and, most importantly, saving lives over the past year. Innovations that Anthony initiated and developed at the STCE are being deployed and used in the Middle East today, protecting U.S. personnel, facilities, and interests from attack by unmanned arial vehicles (UAVs). In another case, the integration of various Xator biometric technologies directly enabled U.S. forces and personnel to safely evacuate thousands of refugees during last year’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.
WashingtonExec’s annual Chief Officer Awards recognize the most impactful and innovative executives in government and industry sitting in the C-suite. The awards aim to fill a gap in the market of showcasing the technologists, security experts and business leaders making waves in government contracting from both sides of the sector.
